VK-NARDEP has a vibrant federation of SHGs - Amutha Surabhi which is a federation having more than 1500 units of women from economically backward sections of the village communities. They are trained in preparing the herbal and ethnic medicines and then they are trained to market them through SHGs. This improves the general health of the villages and also empowers the women.
