Dear Friends,

Namaskaram!

Charles Eisenstein (born 1967) is an American public speaker, teacher and author. His work covers a wide range of topics, including the history of human civilization, economics, spirituality, and the ecology movement. Key themes explored include anti-consumerism, interdependence, and how myth and narrative influence culture. According to Eisenstein, global culture is immersed in a destructive "story of separation", and one of the main goals of his work is to present an alternative "story of inter being". Much of his work draws on ideas from Eastern philosophy and the spiritual teachings of various indigenous peoples. In this issue, we have given some of his quotable quotes.

This month, our front page covers an interesting write up on “Impurities of Mind” which was shared by our friend T.Raghunandan from Chalakudi, Kerala.

In happenings section, we have covered (i) Training on “Harit Aajeevika” (ii) Workshops on “Traditional Siddha Varma Bone Setting Practices” (iii) Awareness and Training programmes on “Harit Urja” (iv) Free medical camp (v) Revival and Renovation of Traditional Water body and (vi) Exposure visit etc.

In the wisdom section, Dr.Muni Mehta, Honorary Chairman, Science Ashram and KADEC write that as per Indian tradition, mission of life should be doing good work. Shri.N.Krishnamoorti, Senior worker of Vivekananda Kendra says that we have slid from the “poverty pollutes” position to the “Development pollutes” situation and finally Dr.M.Lakshmi Kumari, Director, Vivekananda Kendra, Vedic Vision Foundation pleads for the need for readjustments for sustainability.
